Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi will be the next Chief of Army Staff with effect from the afternoon of June 30. The present Chief of the Army Staff, Gen Manoj C Pande, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, will demit office on June 30.

Party spokesperson Jyotshna Tirunagari announced that the meeting would take place on Tuesday morning, following which NDA leaders, including TDP, BJP, and Janasena, will meet Governor S Abdul Nazeer to stake their claim to form the government.
