Iran announced the names of six qualified candidates for the country's early presidential election scheduled for June 28. The list of final nominees includes Mostafa Pourmohammadi, Masoud Pezeshkian, Saeed Jalili, Alireza Zakani, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and Amir-Hossein Ghazizadeh Hashemi.

New Delhi, June 9: Narendra Modi took the oath as Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive term on Sunday, making history as the first PM since Jawaharlal Nehru to achieve this milestone. A grand ceremony attended by over 8,000 dignitaries saw 72 leaders sworn into the Modi 3.0 ministry. The new Cabinet comprises 30 Cabinet ministers, five Ministers of State with Independent Charge, and 36 Ministers of State.

The swearing-in included several new ministers, including members from the Rajya Sabha and those who either did not contest or lost the Lok Sabha elections. Union Minister Amit Shah also condemned the attack, which killed nine and injured 33. My condolences to the family members of the martyred civilians," Shah stated.
