Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu is among the leaders of neighbouring countries who have been invited to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming swearing-in ceremony on June 9. Modi is likely to take oath for the third successive term in office. Maldives joins the list of the top leaders of neighbouring countries, including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Mauritius. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today, June 6, said that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light spells of rain with gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph are very likely to occur at isolated places in several districts of Maharashtra. The Election Commission today, June 6, submitted the names of the members elected to the 18th Lok Sabha to President Droupadi Murmu. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, along with the Election Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, met the President and submitted to her a copy of the notification issued by the ECI, in terms of Section 73 of the Representation of People Act, 1951, containing the names of the Members elected to the Lok Sabha following the general elections

Mumbai, June 6: The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders unanimously elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi as their leader on Wednesday, June 5.
