Campaigning for the seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha elections came to a close today, May 30, as leaders from prominent political parties heightened their efforts with rallies till the last minute. On Saturday, June 1, polling is scheduled to take place in 57 parliamentary constituencies spanning seven states and the Union Territory of Chandigarh to decide the fates of 904 candidates in the fray.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Thursday said that political opponents are performing black magic through "Aghoris" and "tantriks" at a temple in Kerala against him and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Shivakumar also added that it is an attempt against their government.

An LPG cylinder exploded in Tamil Nadu's Tirunelveli today, May 30. According to news agency PTI, the LPG cylinder exploded at a samosa shop in Tirunelveli. Three people are said to have been injured in the explosion. A video of the incident has also gone viral on social media.

A massive fire erupted at a high-rise building in Uttar Pradesh's Noida on Thursday.
