In another news, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took a swipe at Rahul Gandhi over his red-bound Constitution copy, alleging that the Congress leader has been displaying the Chinese constitution at the poll rallies. Himanta Sarma's remark drew Congress's ridicule, with party leaders pointing out that the Constitution copy need not be of any fixed colour.

Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge stated in Mumbai that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is expected to secure at least 46 out of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra. While he didn’t predict a complete shutout for the ruling MahaYuti, “but MVA will win the majority.”

He called the Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led MahaYuti government “an illegal” government.
