In an incident of terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists opened fire and injured a woman, identified as Farha, a resident of Jaipur, and her husband Tabrez, in Yannar, Anantnag. The Kashmir Police confirmed the incident. The injured woman was immediately evacuated and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The area has been cordoned off by the police.
The Delhi police is seeking seven day custody of Bibhav Kumar in Swati Maliwal assault case. The development comes two days after Delhi Police registered a case against Kumar following a complaint by Maliwal. In her complaint, Maliwal alleged that Bibhav Kumar slapped her 7–8 times and repeatedly kicked her in her chest and stomach when she went to the chief minister's residence on May 13.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced a 'jail bharo' programme by the AAP leaders to be held on Sunday at BJP headquarters at around 12 noon.
