A bomb exploded in West Bengal's Hooghly district on Monday, injuring two people and killing a minor, according to the police. The incident took place in the Hooghly district's Pandua neighbourhood next to a pond where some youngsters were playing. Three teens were injured when, according to the police, a bomb went off. Sadly, one of the teenagers passed away after they were taken to Pandua Hospital. Because of the severity of their wounds, the other two were sent to Chunchura Imambara Hospital. An inquiry into the instance has been launched by the Hooghly Rural Police.
In Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted several searches on Monday, recovering Rs 25 crore in unaccounted cash. Raids carried out in compliance with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) have taken aim at about six sites connected to Virendra Ram, the erstwhile chief engineer of the Jharkhand Rural Development Department, and his close circle. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) detained Virendra Ram in February 2023 in relation to a money laundering investigation.
