Mike Duheme, Commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Canada, today claimed that they have information on certain criminal activity carried out by agents of the Government of India. The RCMP further claimed that investigations have revealed that Indian diplomats and consular officials based in Canada have leveraged their official positions to engage in clandestine activities, such as collecting information for the Government of India.

The Maharashtra Cabinet today cleared yet another land allotment for the Dharavi Redevelopment Project. The cabinet has approved the handover of around 124.3 acres of land of Deonar dumping ground for the construction of homes to residents affected by the project.

India has withdrawn its High Commissioner and "other targeted diplomats and officials" from Canada following Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's continued "hostility" towards the country. The decision was conveyed to Canadian Chargé d'Affaires Stewart Wheeler, who was summoned to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Secretary (East) in New Delhi and informed that the "baseless targeting" of the Indian High Commissioner and other diplomats and officials in Canada was completely unacceptable.
