As per the Election Commission of India, a voter turnout of 54.11 per cent was recorded until 7 p.m. in the second phase of polling in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Budgam recorded 58.97 per cent, Ganderbal 58.81 per cent, Poonch 71.59 per cent, Rajouri 68.22 per cent, Reasi 71.81 per cent, and Srinagar 27.37 per cent until 7 PM, as per the data shared by the ECI.

The city of Seoul will launch a nighttime self-driving taxi service this week, the first of its kind in the Republic of Korea, officials said Wednesday. Yonhap News Agency reported that three self-driving taxis will begin service on Thursday in the busy Gangnam district in the southern part of the capital. They will carry passengers across an 11.7-square-kilometre area in central Gangnam and part of the neighbouring Seocho district between 23.00 and 05.00 local time.

 Seven people lost their lives in major accident on Wednesday morning near Himatnagar in Gujarat's Sabarkantha district. According to police, a car was en-route from Shamlaji to Ahmedabad when it collided with a trailer truck. Speaking to ANI, Himmatnagar Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijay Patel said that there were at least eight occupants inside the car.

Mumbai, September 25: A total of 26 assembly constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir will go to poll today, September 25, in the second phase of the assembly elections. Poonch, Rajouri, and Reasi districts in the Jammu division and Ganderbal, Srinagar and Budgam districts of the Kashmir Valley are going to vote today. Voters of Jammu and Kashmir will decide the fate of 239 candidates, including prominent leader Omar Abdullah. The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday, September 24, dismissed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's petition challenging the Governor's approval for an investigation against him in a site allotment case.

It must be noted that Siddaramaiah had challenged the approval given by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot to conduct an investigation against him in the alleged irregularities in the allotment of 14 sites to his wife by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). After the high court's decision, Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said that there is no question of Siddaramaiah resigning in the wake of his plea against the Governor's sanction for his prosecution in the MUDA case being quashed.
