Israel on Thursday launched a full-scale attack in Lebanon targetting several locations of terror group Hezbollah. The attack was initiated by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shortly after Hezbollah gave a televised speech condemning the recent pager and walkie-talkie attacks in the country.

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh today accused the National Conference and the Congress of advancing Pakistan's agenda during the Jammu and Kashmir elections. BJP president J P Nadda today released the party’s manifesto for the October 5 Haryana Assembly polls. The saffron party has promised to purchase 24 crops at the Minimum Support Price and guarantee a government job for every Agniveer from the state. Nadda released the manifesto in the presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Union Ministers M L Khatar, Rao Inderjit Singh and K P Gurjar at Rohtak.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to address election rallies in Srinagar and Katra today, September 19, ahead of the second phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls, scheduled for September 25. This move aligns with the recommendations of a panel led by former President Ram Nath Kovind, which studied global best practices and consulted economists and the Election Commission.

While NDA allies, including Nitish Kumar's JDU and LJP, have supported the move, opposition parties like Congress strongly oppose it. The devices, purchased around five months ago, have caused widespread destruction across East Lebanon, with additional reports of landline telephones also exploding. The cause of these incidents remains under investigation.
