The Centre on Tuesday moved the Supreme Court against the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government over the deployment of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. According to an ANI report, the Centre in its plea alleged that the on-duty CISF personnel are facing a lot of difficulties in performing duties due to non-availability of accommodation, security gadgets and paucity of transportation.

New Delhi, September 3: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on official visits to Brunei and Singapore starting Today. The visit to Brunei, scheduled for September 3-4, marks a significant milestone as it will be the first bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the Southeast Asian nation. The visit, invited by Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors, commemorating 40 years of diplomatic relations between India and Brunei.

In domestic developments, the Prime Minister kickstarted the BJP’s “Sangathan Parva Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024” on Monday, urging party members to embrace challenges and expand the BJP family. At the event held at the party headquarters, Mr. Modi renewed his membership, becoming the first to do so in this new drive. BJP president J.P.
