In his complaint to the Lok Sabha secretary general, Channi said the BJP MP made "many objectionable remarks" in the Lok Sabha. Some of the remarks were later expunged from the records by Congress MP Jagdambika Pal, who was in the Chair during the proceedings.
At least 167 people have been killed, and over 200 were injured after massive landslides struck the hilly areas near Meppadi in Wayanad.
