Mumbai, July 21: IndiGo will lay off 10 per cent of its staff as the coronavirus pandemic has forced it to re-evaluate its "best-laid plans", the airline informed on Monday. Chief executive officer Ronojoy Dutta said IndiGo had "understood the gravity of the situation right at the start of this crisis"

Despite worries about the rising number of coronavirus cases in India, Indian stock markets climbed to 4.5-month high on Monday. The Nifty managed to close above the 11,000-mark with the 50-share index at 11,022.20, up 120.50 or 1.11 percent.
