Patna, May 18: Troops of 205 CoBRA along with Bihar Police carried out special operations in Gaya's Lutua during which an encounter broke out with naxals at 2 AM on Saturday. During post encounter search CoBRA recovered a naxal's body & one AK-47 rifle. The search is currently underway. In Jammu and Kashmir, one terrorist was gunned down in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama. According to a tweet by ANI, the encounter broke out between terrorists & troops of 130 Battalion CRPF, 55 RR and Special Operations Group (SOG) earlier this morning. One terrorist has been neutralised. In Lucknow, candidates who had cleared UP Police recruitment exam in 2013, staged protest outside DM office on Friday. The candidates say that it has been 6 years but they haven't been appointed yet. "Even the candidates from 2018 batch have been appointed. If our demands are not heard we will commit suicide", they said.

On Friday, the United States and Canada reached a deal to remove all tariffs imposed by Washington on imports of aluminium and steel products from Canada, according to a joint statement. Both the countries also agreed to prevent imports of steel and aluminium which are "unfairly subsidised" or "sold at dumped prices," according to Sputnik.

"The United States and Canada agree to eliminate, no later than two days from the issuance of this statement: All tariffs the United States imposed under Section 232 on imports of aluminium and steel products from Canada; and all tariffs Canada imposed in retaliation for the Section 232 action taken by the United States," the official statement said.
