New Delhi, May 13: Days after a series of suicide bombings that claimed hundreds of lives, the Sri Lanka government has banned some social media platforms in the country. According to news agency Reuters, some social media platforms have been blocked after communal violence broke out in some parts of the country. The April 21 attacks targeted three luxury hotels, three churches and two other locations. The killings were blamed on local Islamist group National Thowheed Jamath, which is believed to have links with the Islamic State or ISIS that claimed the bombings.
