Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday, March 28, convened a high-level meeting at his residence after the death of jailed politician Mukhtar Ansari, who died in Banda earlier in the evening following a heart attack. The Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to ensure the maintenance of law and order in all the districts across the state.
Mukhtar Ansari, jailed gangster-turned-politician passed away today, March 28, in Uttar Pradesh, after he suffered a heart attack in prison. Ansari was immediately rushed to a hospital in Banda district after his health deteriorated but he breathed his last in the hospital.
BJP leader Prakash Javadekar on Thursday, March 28, said that the Manipur government has issued a notification that on March 29 (Good Friday) and March 31 (Easter Sunday) there would be a holiday.
