The Delhi High Court on Saturday, March 23, said that the Citizenship Act of 1955 supersedes the provisions outlined in the Passport Manual of 2020, affirming that subordinate legislation cannot override primary legislation. The high court bench of Justice Subramaniam Prasad delivered the verdict in response to a plea filed by two minor children challenging the authorities' decision to revoke their Indian passports and refusing to reissue them.

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana on Saturday announced two more candidates for the May 13 Lok Sabha elections. The party fielded Kyama Mallesh for the Bhongir seat and Kancherla Krishna Reddy for the Nalgonda constituency.

The probe agency also claimed that Kejriwal was directly involved in the conspiracy of formulation of the excise policy to "favour certain persons".
