Turkey-born gunman Gökman Tanis was arrested hours after he allegedly killed 3 people and injured 5 others on a Dutch tram in the central city of Utrecht. The 37-year-old has been taken into custody, and will be interrogated to ascertain the reason behind the fatal shooting. The shooting took place at 10.45 a.m. in 24 Oktoberplein, a busy junction underneath a highway bridge. Police said they had found a red Renault Clio car they had been looking for in connection to the attack.
The Mumbai Police on Monday made arrest in the Mumbai CSTM bridge collapse that killed six people and injured over 30 people last week. The Mumbai police have arrested Neeraj Desai, the structural auditor of the bridge that collapsed.
At a sombre ceremony held at Governor Mridula Sinha's residence, BJP leader and the incumbent Assembly Speaker Pramod Sawant was sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Goa.
