The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Wednesday, March 13, announced its intention to contest the Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan. The party also announced its candidates for two seats. BSP has fielded Chaudhary Fazal Hussain from Alwar and Devkaran Nayak from Ganganagar.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has detained one person, identified as Shabbir, from Ballari in Karnataka in connection with Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe blast case. He is still being questioned in the case. It is yet to be ascertained whether he is the same man caught on CCTV, according to news agency ANI.
