Mumbai, March 1: A fierce encounter between the Indian armed forces and terrorists took place in Kupwara district's Handwara area of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning. According to the initial information, two to three terrorists are to be believed trapped in the vicinity. Though the encounter has been stopped, the area has been cordoned, and search operation is underway. More details to follow.
With Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan announced to release the Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman in their national assembly on Thursday, preparations are underway at the Wagah-Attari border to receive the brave soldier with a grand welcome. The Pakistani armed forces arrested the IAF pilot after his MiG-21 crashed across POK, post-shooting PAF's F-16 fighter jets.
In another news, Congress president Rahul Gandhi is about to address a rally in MMRDA ground of BKC in Mumbai at 5 pm on Friday. Along with this, he is also scheduled to address the public rally in Dhule district of Maharashtra. The public meeting is about to take place at SSVPS college ground in Dhule at 2 pm. This is the first visit of Gandhi after the dastardly terror attack on CRPF convoy in Pulwama district on February 14.
