The Congress' Central Election Committee (CEC) on Thursday finalised the names of 40 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections including that of Rahul Gandhi from Kerala's Wayanad, sources said.

Telugu Desam Party President N. Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena party leader Pawan Kalyan met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J. P. Nadda in the national capital on Thursday night. Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan reached Amit Shah’s residence around 10.30 a.m., and the leaders of the three parties discussed an alliance for the coming elections to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and the Lok Sabha

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has busted a trafficking racket that sent Indian nationals to Russia under the guise of 'better employment', only to make them fight the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. According to officials, these traffickers were operating as an organised network, luring Indian nationals through social media platforms like YouTube etc., and also through their local contacts/agents for 'highly-paid jobs' in Russia.

Fire broke out in two flats of a residential society in Greater Noida West on Thursday morning. The cause of the fire is currently unknown. Fire tenders promptly arrived at the scene and have successfully brought the fire under control. The Fire Department has confirmed that there have been no reported casualties in the incident.

The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has issued a new summons to the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, instructing him to make a physical appearance on March 16. This action follows the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) filing of a second complaint against Kejriwal for his non-compliance with a previous summons related to the Delhi excise policy case.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has initiated raids at the residence of jailed Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA, Irfan Solanki, in Kanpur. The ED team has also reached the residence of Irfan’s brother, Rizwan Solanki. Both brothers are currently in jail.

At least three crew members of a commercial ship were killed in a missile attack by Yemen's Houthi rebels. Following the missile strike, the crew evacuated the ship and launched lifeboats. A US warship and the Indian navy were at the scene, assisting in the rescue operations.
