In a significant development, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested six individuals, including the General Manager and Deputy General Manager of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and two Directors of a private company, on charges of bribery amounting to Rs 20 lakh. The CBI has so far recovered approximately Rs 1.10 crore in cash, which includes the bribe money. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
