Ranchi, June 2: One jawan lost his life in an encounter with Naxals in Dumka area of Jahrakhand on Sunday. In Jammu and Kashmir, Inayat Manzoor, hockey player from Budgam, returns from National Hockey Championship. Manzoor says she didn't even know about hockey before joining Women's Govt College. "I hadn't even stepped out of house before going for National trials. I want to play for India in internationals", she added.
In Andhra Pradesh, Police arrested three people in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. These men collected information about corrupt government employees and then blackmail them for money. Apart from this, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday asked the officials to shut "belt shops" or illegal outlets of licensed liquor shops in the state. This is the first step towards imposing prohibition in the state after Reddy came to power in the southern state.
