New Delhi, July 7: With the 11 legislators of the ruling alliance submitted their resignation at the Speaker's office Saturday, political turmoil in Karnataka has erupted and the Congress-JD(S) coalition government has been pushed to the brink. Since Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar was not in his office when the legislators went there to submit their resignation, a decision would be made only on Monday.

The Central Railway division of the Indian Railways announced that a large number of routes on its suburban sections will be blocked on Sunday for carrying out the maintenance work. Along with this, it informed that trains reaching CST and plying from there will reach their destination 20 minutes late as against their scheduled arrival time. Even the Harbour line services from Vashi/Belapur/Panvel leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and vice-versa will remain cancelled.
