The Centre on Tuesday handed over the probe into the accident involving Unnao rape survivor to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), in the backdrop of demands being raised by the victims' family and civil rights activists. The state government had come under severe flak for allegedly compromising on the security to the 19-year-old victim who accused BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar of raping her.
Rains continue to lash Mumbai and in one such incident, a portion of a slab at Mumbai International Airport fell down on Tuesday night. Water leakage suspected to be the main reason behind the incident. No injuries have been reported.
