New Delhi, July 28: Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) president M Karunanidhi was hospitalised in the wee hours of Saturday after months of treatment at his Chennai-based residence. Sources close to his family said the former chief minister was rushed to Kauvery Hospital in Alwarpet from his residence in Gopalapuram region. Fresh reports claim his condition is stable and his currently in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was on a three-day visit to Africa which culminated with his attendance at the BRICS summit held in Johannesburg, returned to India today.
