"Doctors have told me that they (victim and her lawyer) have been put on life support system. Some of their bones have fractured. One of them have head injury," said ADG Lucknow Zone, Rajiv Krishnan, adding that the victim's family had themselves asked security personnel to not accompany them because of lack of space in the car. "But it's a matter of investigation," he further said. The truck driver who rammed his vehicle into their car has been arrested.

In Punjab, the CMOs Office informed that Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh scrapped orders of Dy Commissioner, Fazilka, imposing a dress code on employees. The Deputy Commissioner had reportedly issued orders on a written request by employees’ union, which sought a formal dress code. According to a tweet by ANI, the Chief Minister has directed the Dy Commissioner to forward the request to state govt for further action, as deemed necessary.
In the wake of the heavy rainfall in Raigad, the city police has shifted 400 people, living in a chawl, at KBK Nagar, Shelu (Raigad) to a safe place following waterlogging inside their houses creating flood like situation. Adequate police force has been deployed there.
