New Delhi, January 6: The preparations for Ardh Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj are in full swing. Luxury tents have been set-up in Prayagraj as part of the preparations. The 'Kumbh' is set to get underway from January 15. Meanwhile, authorities have ordered the closure of 24 big industrial units in Ghaziabad during the Kumbh Mela to keep the Ganga clean and prevent the release of untreated effluent and wastewater in the river.

In Hyderabad, the new Telangana legislative assembly will commence its proceedings on 17th January. A day before, on 16th January 2019, MLA from Charminar Constituency Mumtaz Ahmed Khan will take oath as Pro-tem Speaker in Raj Bhavan.
