New Delhi, January 25: Indian Space Research Organisation-launched world's lightest satellite was successfully placed in orbit on Thursday night. The satellite – designed and built by the students who work with a private organisation called "Space Kidz India" in Chennai – weighs only 1.26 kg and made with a cost of Rs 12 lakh. Named as Kalamsat-V2, the satellite was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
In another news, the Electrical Inspector to the Government (EIG) gave “provisional” clearance to Train 18 for three months on Thursday. Though the launch date for the prestigious project is near, Train 18 may have to be sent back to the ICF due to “serious inadequacies” found by EIG. Principal Chief Electrical Engineer (PCEE) of Northern Railway Shailendra Kumar had suggested corrective measures based on which further action would be taken.
The Union Home Ministry on Thursday barred media from printing or publishing in print, electronic or social media the name of sexual assault victims. It wrote letters to the media stating that the name of the victim can only be made public with permission from the court. According to the recent directive, it says ‘identity of the victim if dead or of unsound mind should not be disclosed even under authorisation of the next of kin.’
