Tihar Jail official: Dummy execution of the convicts of 2012 Delhi gang-rape case was performed today at Tihar Jail. The dummy was created in sacks filled with debris and stones, as per the weight of the convicts. Hangman was not called, but a jail official performed it.

New Delhi, January 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day official visit in West Bengal -- will address students from the Belur Math on Sunday. CM Mamata Banerjee had met the PM and that the state was against the new Citizenship Act. Also, she made her point that her state government is against the CAA, NRC and NPR. To this, PM Modi said that he was there for certain programmes and asked Mamata to come to Delhi for a meeting.

In another news, a top media outlet "identified" a masked female arsonist who was spotted using a rod in the videos in the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus during January 5 violence. The woman, said to be Komal Sharma from Daulat Ram College of Delhi University, is a member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) -- the students' wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). On Saturday, Indian Army Chief Major General Mukund Naravane said that the elite security forces have the ability and are ready to occupy the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), provided there is a parliamentary resolution that entire Jammu and Kashmir is part of India. Adding more the Army Chief said, however, they would wait till the orders to take appropriate action.
