Mumbai, January 12: With just months left for the Lok Sabha elections left, Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday most likely to formally announce the alliance for Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow. Both the party chiefs have earlier stated they would also brief the media in a major function. The alliance between BSP and SP is crucial as both have a considerable presence in state politics, which sends 80 representatives to Lok Sabha.
In another news, the prices of petrol and diesel on Saturday saw a rise again. The price of petrol in Delhi was raised by 19 paise, thereby reaching to Rs 69.29 per litre. Similar was the rise in diesel rate. The diesel price was raised to 29 paise, and it is being sold at Rs 63.10 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol is being sold at 74.91 per litre, as the rate was increased by 19 paise. For diesel, the price was raised by 31 paise in Mumbai, and it is being sold at Rs 66.04 per litre.
On the last day of the national council meet of Bharatiya Janata Party leaders in the national capital, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would give the concluding speech. He is most likely to attack Congress and would appeal to the party workers to persuade voters in their constituencies to being BJP again in power. Earlier on Friday, BJP chief Amit Shah had shared a similar opinion and said that 2019 Lok Sabha Elections are crucial for the party and the leaders.
