The Twitter will present its case before the panel on February 11. The parliamentary committee on information Technology will examine the issue. The panel summoned the Twitter India after Delhi-based advocate Ishkaran Singh Bhandari met Home Minister Rajnath Singh on January 28 and presented an application regarding the matter.

Kolkata, February 5: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's 'Save the Constitution' dharna near Metro Channel entered the third day on Tuesday. The dharna over the CBI issue began on the night of February 3. On Monday, Banerjee said that her dharna against the CBI’s attempt to grill the Kolkata Police chief in the chit fund scam cases will continue till Friday in view of the upcoming board examinations.

According to reports, Banerjee is observing a sit-in protest at the Metro Channel in Esplanade area in the heart of the city, the same spot she had sat on a 26-day fast in 2006 against the acquisition of farmland at Singur for the Tata Motors factory. Another big news of the day is fugitive liquor baron Vijay Mallya has decided to initiate an appeal process after the UK Home Office approved his extradition to India on Monday. UK's Home Secretary on Monday signed an order approving that Mallya will be extradited to India to face trial for alleged fraud and money laundering amounting to Rs. 9,000 crore.
