New Delhi/Mumbai, February 3: In a tragic incident, six people died after nine coaches of the 12487 Jogbani-Anand Vihar Terminal Seemanchal Express derailed in Bihar's Vaishali district early hours of Sunday. While rescue operations were underway, CRS Eastern Circle Latif Khan will conduct an inquiry into the mishap. The Railways issued helpline numbers - Sonpur 06158221645, Hajipur 06224272230 and Barauni 06279232222.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jammu and Kashmir today. Ahead of PM Modi's daylong tour, security across the state was beefed up. PM Modi will be visiting all the three regions -- Jammu, Ladakh and the Kashmir Valley. He is scheduled to lay foundation stones of projects worth Rs 35,000 crore and inaugurate projects worth Rs 9,000 crore. His last visit was on May 19 when he laid the foundation of the Zojilla Tunnel.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi will address the ‘Jan Akanksha Rally’ in Bihar's Patna today. This will be the first public meeting organised by the Congress at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan almost three decades. Earlier in 1989, Rahul’s father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had addressed the rally in Bihar at the same venue. All party workers, MPs or MLAs have geared up to make this rally a big success.

Meanwhile, demolition of the Delisle Bridge in Mumbai's Lower Parel area was underway. Due to the demolition work, 205 local trains on the Western line were cancelled.
