Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bihar on March 2 and launch nationwide projects worth over Rs 1.64 lakh, nearly Rs 29,000 core of it focussed on the state. The projects to be launched in Bihar's Begusarai are related to multiple sectors including oil, gas, fertiliser and railways.

Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta has directed the Jamtara Deputy Commissioner to continue the relief and rescue work in the Jamtara Train Accident. He has also directed the Civil Surgeon of Jamtara to provide proper treatment to the injured. The Health Minister has directed that there should be no negligence in treatment.

At least two persons were run over and killed by a train in Jharkhand's Jamtara district on Wednesday evening, police said. Jamtara sub-division police officer (SDPO) M Rahman told PTI that the accident took place near Kaljharia area in Jamtara district when some passengers got down from the train from the wrong side.

In a significant joint operation, the Indian Navy and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seized approximately 3,300 kg of drugs from a ship near Porbandar, Gujarat. This operation marks the largest drug seizure ever in the country, according to the Navy. The operation took place on Tuesday when a small ship was intercepted by the Navy. The seizure included over 3,089 kg of charas, 158 kg of methamphetamine, and 25 kg of morphine. The ship’s crew, all of whom are Pakistani nationals, were arrested following the seizure.
