Farmers agitation has been called off after a meeting between farmer leaders and minister Girish Mahajan. The state government has sought 2-3 months to fulfil demands. They were demanding complete farm loan waiver and implementation of Swaminathan Commission recommendations among others.
Shiv Sena's Yuva Sena issued a press note condemning an attack on Kashmiri youths in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra, states, 'If the attackers were Yuva Sena workers then strict action will be taken against the people responsible.'
