A CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) constable Bhanwarsingh Nayak posted on guard duty at activist Teesta Setalvad’s residence in Mumbai's Santacruz allegedly committed suicide with his service weapon while on duty, yesterday morning.


New Delhi, February 10:  As part of rehabilitation activities after Kerala floods, Southern Naval Command handed over keys of a newly constructed house sponsored by Indian Navy to Babu VK in Muttinakam on Saturday. The original house damaged during the floods in Kochi had to be reconstructed at a cost of Rs 9.35 lakhs. In Delhi, a massive fire broke out at a factory in Kirti Nagar furniture market at 3:45 am on Sunday. Reports inform that nearly 10 fire tenders were rushed by the fire under control. No injuries reported.

In Nepal, Kathmandu will import roses worth around 7 million rupees from India for Valentine's Day.  Floriculture Association Nepal (FAN) President Shrestha said that about 160,000 stems of roses would be imported. We will import these roses, especially from Calcutta and Bangalore.

Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh and the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, surrendered his driving license on Saturday afternoon (local time), week after he escaped unharmed in a car crash that took place near Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, situated in eastern part of England. "After careful consideration, The Duke of Edinburgh has taken the decision to voluntarily surrender his driving licence," the Buckingham Palace said in a statement on Saturday.

On January 17, Prince Philip was driving a Range Rover when "he was involved in a road traffic accident with another vehicle but was not injured". The Queen was not in the car when the accident took place, according to the palace.
