New Delhi, December 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday is scheduled to address a rally at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. The Prime Minister is set to launch the BJP's campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls. Cold waves continued to grip north India with temperatures dropping in the national capital. In Delhi, people take refuge in night shelters as mercury level dips in the national capital. In Uttar Pradesh, internet services have been restored in Aligarh. Services were suspended from December 15 after violence broke out during protests over Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

In Karnataka, two persons were arrested in connection with acid attack on a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) conductor on December 19. According to a tweet by ANI, Police says,"victim is out of danger but she has received burn injuries on her face. One of the accused is her relative."
