In one of the biggest news during the weekend, days after Pakistan suspended the Lahore-Delhi Samjhauta Express train services as a mark of protest against abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir, the Indian government reciprocated the measure by cancelling the bi-weekly train between Delhi and Attari. A statement issued by the Indian Railways said the train services would not be resumed until further orders.
With heavy rains continuing to batter Kerala, the death toll in the state has now risen to 72. Over 2.27 Lakh people are sheltered in relief camps across Kerala, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said. Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived in Kerala on Sunday afternoon and proceeded to a relief camp in Boodanam Church in Nilambur.
