New Delhi, April 29: The voting for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha Elections began on Monday at 7 am, which would continue till 6 pm in the evening. The polling is currently taking place at Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal Lok Sabha Seats for which Election Commission has set up 1,40,849 polling booths. 961 candidates are contesting for 72 LS seats.
In another news, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from North-East Lok Sabha seat, Atishi wrote to Returning Officer (RO) alleging a repeated violation of the model code of conduct by BJP candidate Gautam Gambhir by holding a rally without permission on April 28. In a letter, she said Gambhir held a rally in J-K Block of Dilshad Garden on Sunday morning without permission from Election Commission. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a fresh warning that cyclonic storm – Fani is going to be intensified from severe to very severe cyclonic storm in the next 24 hours. Stating the cyclonic storm is of category 5, IMD predicted that it would move north-westwards till May 1, and then it will move towards north-eastward.
Informing more, A Sravani of IMD, Hyderabad said, “Fani cyclonic storm is going to be intensified from severe to very severe cyclonic storm in next 24 hours. Now it's moving towards northwestward and from May 1 onward it will move northeastward.”
