New Delhi, April 12: Phase I of Lok Sabha elections were held peacefully in 91 constituencies across India. Reports inform that over 14.21 crore voters will decide the fate of 1,279 candidates who are in fray for the polls in different states. The first phase is third biggest in terms of number of Lok Sabha seats among the seven phases in which the election will be conducted. More than 1.70 lakh polling booths set up across 20 states and Union Territories.

In 2018-19, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) injected a total liquidity of Rs 2.98 lakh crore in the market in one of its reports said on Thursday. According to a report by IANS, from a daily net average surplus of Rs 27,928 crore during February 1-6, 2019, systemic liquidity moved into deficit during February 7-March 31, reflecting the build-up of government cash balances, the First Bi-monthly Monetary Policy Statement, 2019-20 stated.
