Home Minister Amit Shah has reportedly arrived at the official residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the violent face-off between Indian and Chinese side at the LAC. Three Indian Army personnel were killed in line of action.
"On late-evening and night of June 15, a violent face-off happened as a result of an attempt by Chinese side to unilaterally change status quo there. Both sides suffered casualties that could have been avoided had agreement at higher level been scrupulously followed by Chinese side," said the statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA)
"Words cannot describe the pain I feel for the officers and men who sacrificed their lives for our country. My condolences to all their loved ones. We stand with you in this difficult time," Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said.

Mumbai, June 16: The Ministry of Civil Aviation allowed Maharashtra to operate 100 flights daily on Monday. Earlier, Maharashtra was allowed only 50 flights (25 arrivals and 25 departures) daily.
From Monday, the Mumbai local trains resumed operations only for the essential service workers in the government sector. The announcement was made byĀ Central and Western Railway along with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The servicesĀ resumed after two months as they were stopped due to the lockdown imposed to curb the spread of coronavirus infection.
The total number of containment zones in Mumbai stands at 828, according to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
