Maharashtra crossed 1 lakh COVID-19 cases with a total of 3,493 new infections in the past 24 hours. The overall tally has climbed 1,01,141.
West Bengal reports 476 new COVID-19 positive cases and 9 deaths in the last 24 hours. Total number of positive cases in the state rise to 10244 including 451 deaths and 5587 active cases: State Health Department.
"I am anguished by the callous manner in which 14 bodies were dragged on road. I took to writing to the Chief Secretary and Home Secretary. Home Secretary has responded. His response is virtually an admission that the protocol was not in place," said West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar."These 14 bodies had come from a hospital morgue & were patients at one point of time. Each patient will have a history when he breathed last, none of that is being revealed. It's my obligation to thoroughly probe the matter & make it transparently apparent to the people," he added.
"A penalty of Rs 100 will be levied if any person is found not wearing a face mask in Chhattisgarh," said State Minister Ravindra Choubey.

Mumbai, June 12: The Delhi Government issued orders directing all designated coronavirus hospitals to make oxygen facility available on all of their beds. The decision was taken in view of the surge in positive cases in the national capital last week.
According to data on Delhi Corona App, nearly 70 percent of beds are vacant in five COVID-19 designated hospitals run by the Delhi government, whereas in private hospitals, almost all beds are occupied, As of the afternoon on June 11, according to 'Delhi Corona' app, more than 3,000 beds are lying vacant in the five Delhi government-run hospitals.
