Mumbai, February 25: To facilitate pilgrims during Mahashivratri and Holi, the Indian Railways will run special trains. The Central Railway will run 10 special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) - Sawantwadi Road, CSMT – Karmali, Karmali – Panvel, Pune – Sawantwadi Road, Panvel – Sawantwadi Road to clear the extra rush of passengers during Mahashivratri and Holi festival. Details of the Special Trains are as follows:
A) LTT – Sawantwadi Road – LTT Shivratri specials (2)
- Train No. 01113 Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 01.10 hrs on 04.03.2019 (mid-night of 3/4.3.2019) and will arrive Sawantwadi Road at 12.00 hrs same day.
- Train No. 01114 Special will leave Sawantwadi Road at 13.10 hrs on 04.03.2019 and will arrive LTT at 00.20 hrs next day.
These trains will halt at - Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Sindhudurg and Kudal and will have one AC-2 Tier, Two AC-3 Tier, 8 Sleeper class and 6 General second class. B) CSMT – Karmali Shivratri specials (2)
- Train No. 01111 Special will leave CSMT at 00.20 hrs on 02.03.2019 (midnight of 1/2.3.2019) and will arrive Karmali at 13.30 hrs same day.
- Train No. 01112 Special will leave Karmali at 14.05 hrs on 03.03.2019 and will arrive CSMT at 00.25 hrs next day.
These trains will halt and Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road and Thivim and will have one AC-2 Tier, one AC-3 Tier, 4 Sleeper Class, and 12 General second class.
C) Karmali – Panvel – Karmali Shivratri specials (2)
- Train No. 01436 Special will leave Karmali at 14.05 hrs on 02.03.2019 and will arrive Panvel at 23.45 hrs same day.
- Train No. 01435 Special will leave Panvel at 01.00 hrs on 03.03.2019 and will arrive Karmali at 13.30 hrs same day.
These trains will halt at Thivim, Sawantwadi Road, Kudal, Sindhudurg, Kankavli, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Khed, Mangaon and Roha and will have one AC-2 Tier, one AC-3 Tier, 4 Sleeper Class, and 12 General second class.

This year Maha Shivratri falls on March 4. It is celebrated every year in honour of Hindu deity Lord Shiva. According to one legend in the Shaivism tradition, this is the night when Shiva performs the heavenly dance of creation, preservation and destruction. Meanwhile, this year Holi begins on the evening of the Purnima and will be celebrated on March 20 and 21.
