List of 15 Pro-Khalistani Leaders Given by India to Pakistan During Kartarpur Corridor Talks Last Week

India gave a list of 15 alleged pro-Khalistani leaders to Pakistan last week. The dossier was exchanged with Pakistan during the talks which were held on July 14 to discuss the modalities of the Kartarpur Corridor. The dossier includes names of pro-Khalistani leaders including Gopal Singh Chawla.

New Delhi, July 19: India submitted a list of 15 alleged pro-Khalistani leaders to Pakistan last week. The dossier was exchanged with Pakistan during the talks which were held on July 14 to discuss the modalities of the Kartarpur Corridor at Wagah. The dossier which was reviewed by the, Economic Times highlighted the open display of banners of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and Referendum 2020 inside the holy shrines in Pakistan by the UK-based pro-Khalistanis. The dossier also mentioned that the incident of 2016, when the federal minister for religious affairs and harmony of Pakistan  Sardar Mohammed Yousuf, in his address during a function at Gurdwara Nanakana Sahib lauded Burhan Wani, Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist which was killed by Indian security forces. Kartarpur Corridor Talks: India Seeks Confirmation From Pakistan on Removal of Gopal Singh Chawla From Institutions Related to Project.

The document also named pro-Khalistani leaders including Gopal Singh Chawla and Manmohan Singh. According to the ET report, India also claimed that the pro-Khalistani leaders have been misguiding Sikh youths against the Indian government, the way Kashmiris are being instigated. They have been provoking the young by saying that the Indian government treats both the communities as “slaves.” Chawla’s connection with Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Seed was also mentioned in the dossier.

Earlier this month, Pakistan had reconstituted the list Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee and dropped the mane of Chawla from it. He was also removed from the panel of the Kartarpur Corridor. The corridor will link Indian town of Dera Baba Nanak to the historic gurudwara in Pakistan's Kartarpur where Guru Nanak Dev spent the last 18 years of his life.
