Leopard Rescued From Well in Pune’s Shirur, Shifted to Rescue Centre in Junnar (Watch Video)

A leopard had a narrow escaped from death after falling into a deep open well in Fakte village of Shirur Taluka in Maharashtra's Pune on Sunday. The leopard was rescued by Shirur Range Rescue team and Wildlife SOS.

Pune, July 14: A leopard had a narrow escaped from death after falling into a deep open well in Fakte village of Shirur Taluka in Maharashtra's Pune on Sunday. The leopard was rescued by Shirur Range Rescue team and Wildlife SOS. The feline was later shifted to Manikdoh Leopard Rescue Centre in Junnar for medical attention. Leopard Spotted in Thane Again! According to reports, villagers informed the forest officials after finding a leopard in the well. Forest officials along with the Wildlife SOS reached the spot. Last month, in a similar incident, a 10-month-old female leopard cub was rescued from well in Alegaon phata village in Shirur. After rescuing, the feline was sent for a veterinary check-up and was later released to the same vicinity so that the cub could find her mother.
