Chennai, February 2: A passenger was detained by Air Intelligence Unit at Chennai international airport on Saturday for carrying a leopard cub in his baggage. According to reports, the passenger was carrying the one-month-old leopard cub from Thailand. Soon after the authorities were alerted, the man along with the cub, were handed over to the Tamil Nadu Forest Department for further inquiry. According to a tweet by ANI, the cub will be rehabilitated in the Aringar Anna Zoological Park in Chennai. The AIU nabbed him after the officials observed that some sounds from his checked-in luggage while frisking him. According to the report, the passenger was taken for interrogation soon after, As per details on his boarding pass and passport, the man has been identified as one Kaja Moideen (45), who had arrived from Bangkok by Thai Airways flight.
