Bhopal, January 4: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Friday met former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Bhopal and invited him for the Kumbh Mela that will be held from January 15 in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj. Uttar Pradesh minister Chetan Chauhan also met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and extended him an invitation to Kumbha Mela. Chauhan met with Patnaik in Bhubaneshwar on Friday. Allahabad Ardh Kumbh Mela, one of the largest human gatherings in the world would be held at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj. The Hindu pilgrimage of faith will start from January 15 to March 31. To facilitate the devotees, National carrier Air India on Friday announced special flights to Prayagraj From Delhi, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad.

The Uttar Pradesh government had also asked Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) to run 500 special buses from various places to Prayagraj, formerly known as Allahabad, for Kumbh Mela. Earlier, SpiceJet had has also announced to run flights between Prayagraj and Delhi from January 6 to March 30, 2019.
