Prayagraj, January 3: The Kumbh Mela 2019 administration has denied permission for camp space to two self-proclaimed godmen who have been accused of rape. The two men who have been denied space at the Kumbh 2019 in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj are Nithyananda and Yogi Satyam. On receiving requests for camp space, the administration consulted the police on charges against Nithyananda and Yogi Satyam.

Nithyananda was arrested in 2010 after a video showing him in a compromising position with an actress was aired on several media channels. The 'godman' has been accused of rape. A few months ago, Nithyananda became a laughing stock over the Internet after videos of his weird speeches in his new avatar began going viral.

In one of the videos, he is seen completely dismissing Albert Einstein's special relativity equation and uses it to differentiate between vegetarians and non-vegetarians. In another video, he is seen claiming that he has made a software with which he can make monkeys, cows, buffaloes, lions, tigers and other animals talk exactly like human beings in Sanskrit and Tamil languages.

Last month, reports came in that Nithyananda is rumoured to have fled India and that he may have sought political asylum in the Cayman Islands.

Meanwhile, Yogi Satyam was one of the five accused who were named in an FIR lodged at the Colonelganj police station in Prayagraj in a rape case in June last year.
