Kullu, June 21: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Friday met the injured of the Kullu bus accident, admitted at Regional Hospital Kullu. Thakur also ordered a magisterial inquiry into the tragic mishap. A meeting headed by Thakur was held today to ensure that such incidents don't happen in future. The Himachal Pradesh CM further added, “Road at the spot was not in a bad condition. Prima facie it looks like a case of overloading.”

On Thursday, 44 people were killed and more than 30 were injured after a bus fell into a gorge in Kullu. The incident took place near Kullu's Banjar tehsil. The bus (bearing registration no HP 66-7065) plunged over 300-metre-deep nullah near Dhoth Morh area. Earlier, on April 27, 12 people were killed and many others were injured after a bus fell into a gorge near Panchpula bridge in Chamba district.
