Jaipur, September 13: In a disturbing incident, a class 8 student suffered a cut on his cheek after being slapped by a teacher in Rajasthan's Kota. The student, who required four stitches on his cheek after he was slapped by his teacher, is now recovering, while the incident has sparked outrage among his family and local villagers. A case has been registered against the accused teacher.
According to the Navbharat Times, the student's father, Manoj Rathore, reported that he was rushed to the hospital after getting a call from the facility. At the hospital, he found his son with a deep wound on his cheek, which was promptly treated by doctors. Rathore explained that the teacher, identified as Shambhu Dayal, slapped his son hard after the child overturned a table. The teacher was reportedly wearing an iron bracelet, which exacerbated the injury. Injured Boy Rushed to Hospital by Schoolmates After Being Slapped by Teacher
As per the report, two students from the school took the injured boy to the hospital after the incident. Rathore learned about the incident from the hospital staff. When he confronted the teacher, Dayal allegedly responded with misbehaviour.
Case Registered Against Accused Teacher
The student's family has filed a complaint against the teacher at the Suket police station. Station House Officer Raghuveer Singh confirmed that a report has been registered against the teacher, and an investigation is underway.
